Update on Fred McGuan

A little update on Fred from Kristy McGuane
Firstly, thank you so much for all the well wishes and support. We are so grateful.
For those who weren’t aware, Fred had a serious motorbike accident on 22nd Feb. He was
airlifted to The Alfred, and was on life support, until recently.
Each day is different with him, but for the most part, he is awake for longer periods of time,
and he responds appropriately to yes/no questions.
He is breathing mostly on his own- which is fabulous.
He also can move his body more and more each day.
There will be a lot of time to pass before we know the true extent of what Fred’s recovery will
entail, he suffered a Grade 3 brain injury, but I am so proud of where he is at so far xo
At the March Members Meeting, we will circulate the Pink Pigs and rename them to the Fred
Pigs; in support of donations for Fred and his family. The Club will also make a donation.
