MJOC Members Donate To Narbeview Wildlife Shelter

Our MJOC members support our community in many ways from Bushfire Relief, Track Clearing, High Country Hut maintenance and many other volunteer activities culminating in over 1000 volunteer hours achieved last year.
As part of our activities we raise funds through our club raffles and members 'Pink Pig' fines for misdemeanours within the club. Do something  silly and you could be fined a gold coin donation to our "Pink Pig'.
At our Christmas party in December our club raffle raised $1100 which is quite significant and the club has now donated this money to our designated club charity which is the Narbeview Wildlife Shelter at Buxton. https://www.narbeview.com.au/

Narbeview is being inundated with injured and burned wildlife after the recent January bushfires near Buxton and Shelley (owner) is being called at all hours to assist wildlife.
As well as an abundance of baby Wombats, possums, echidnas and many injured birds they have now started rescuing Koalas and rescue the many injured Kangaroos. Kangaroos can not be catered for at Narbeview so the are transported to other Wildlife shelters often some distance away.
All this takes time and also money for fuel etc.
MJOC Members are proud to support Narbeview and love to get the occasional Wombat cuddle too.
