MJOC Bushfire Recovery Working Bee – Tallarook
Address: Cnr East Falls Road and Flynns Road Tallarook - map is below with directions to the Property.
Camping from Thursday 2 April 2026 (arrive after 2pm) through to Tuesday 7 April 2026 (departing by 12pm).
Members are welcome to attend for the entire weekend or join us for just a day.
We will be based at Dennis Webb’s property. For those that don't know Dennis - he is a long time MJOC Member and does a lot of Volunteering work for the club and in his community and is a member of the Yea CFA. Dennis is always willing to give a hand to others, this is our chance to give Dennis a hand!
There are toilet and shower facilities on site, and camping is available. Please note that the Property has been affected by bushfires and there will be blackened ground coverage, but the good new is there has been some rain in the last few weeks and greenery is starting to return.
Over the weekend, we will be driving and clearing fallen trees from tracks around the Property.
This is practical, hands-on work helping restore safe access after the recent fires.
We will also have the opportunity to explore a selection of unaffected tracks across the property throughout the weekend. These tracks offer a great mix of terrain and a chance to enjoy some quality 4WD driving in a unique and rarely accessed location.
As this is private property, these tracks are not open to the general public, making this a special opportunity exclusively for our group. It’s a great way to experience something different while spending time with fellow members and making the most of the weekend.
We will also be driving around the Tallarook Forrest and check out some of the tracks -
like Jenkins No1 Track, Rocky Track and Phone track.
Access to these drives is part of the overall working bee experience, so come along, lend a hand, and enjoy some well-earned time out on the tracks.
Please ensure you bring:
* Appropriate PPE (gloves, eye protection, sturdy boots, long sleeves)
* Recovery gear
* Camping equipment and supplies
* UHF radio
* Chainsaw and any other equipment to assist with this sort of work
Let’s get a strong crew together and support the recovery effort.
